Joseph Buckner Killebrew Autobiography
Agriculturalist J. B. Killebrew wrote this two-volume autobiography in 1896 and 1898. Volume one begins with an account of Killebrew's ancestry, describes his life from birth to the Atlanta Exposition (1881), and closes with an appendix containing more genealogical information. Volume two begins in 1882, chronicles Killebrew's life through 1897, and closes with an article from Harper's written by Martha M. Williams.
Account Books
This folder houses three account books containing lists of financial transactions. The two smaller books have notes about Wm Co, the smaller with entries in $100 increments and the larger only half full. The largest book has entries about livestock, cotton, and other agricultural transactions.
East Tennessee Farmer's Convention Program and Proceedings
This collections consists of programs and proceedings from the East Tennessee Farmer's Convention. The manuscripts range from 1872 to 1941, with significant gaps between years (see Scope and Contents Note for more information). The programs specify the times of activities, and the proceedings are a compilation of newspaper clippings, attendance sheets, and type-written accounts of speeches.
